Where does bottled
water come from?
Those beautiful
mountain illustrations on water bottles are often very far from the
true source of the water inside. Bottled water sources can be hard
to track down, as bottled water manufacturers are not required to
disclose where the water comes from or for that matter, what’s in
their water. In fact, the best indicator of what kind of water is in
the bottle is from the terms used to describe it. Artesian, ground,
spring or well water was taken from an underground aquifer and may
or may not have been further treated. Purified water often means
that the water is minimally treated tap water. Seltzer, tonic and
sparkling waters, meanwhile, are considered soft drinks and not
regulated as bottled water.

Chlorine in the water?

will destroy your resin. According to Cindy Gresham of Thermax, the
general rule is that
every one ppm of chlorine shortens the life of water softeners by
half. When it’s done with your softener it goes to work on
your plumbing. READ MORE>>>

Pharmaceuticals in
the Water

National Investigative Team reviewed hundreds of scientific reports,
analyzed federal drinking water databases, visited environmental study
sites and treatment plants and interviewed more than 230 officials,
academics and scientists. They also surveyed the nations 50 largest
cities and a dozen other major water providers, as well as smaller
community water providers in all 50 states. Here are their findings:
In the 5 month study a vast array
of pharmaceuticals- including antibiotics, anti-consultants, mood
stabilizers, sex hormones, heart medicines, tranquilizers, caffeine
and disinfectants in antibacterial soaps have been found in the
drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans from
California to New Jersey. READ MORE >>>
